stilldead77: Why not ask, "Why?"

.."Miracle > Shakedown" from that show doesn't "ring a bell" for me, however, it does cause me to ponder, "Who makes the moves?" Check this out ["Dinosaurs," 1982-12-31]:
http://www.archive.org/details/dinos1982-12-31.flac16 (see first tune......]

Line up : Robert Hunter - vocals/guitar
Barry Melton - vocals/guitar
John Cipollina - lead guitar
Peter Albin - bass/backing vocals
Spencer Dryden - drums

with special guests..

* Nicky Hopkins - Piano
+ Joe McDonald - Lead vocals/guitar
^ Kathi McDonald - Vocals
= Steve Douglass - Sax

Opening for the "Grateful Dead"

Below is from Alex Allan's web site [http://www3.clearlight.com/~acsa/index.htm]

"Who Makes The Moves?"

Lyrics: Robert Hunter, Barry Melton
Music: Robert Hunter, Barry Melton

The only song on the Dinosaurs CD with Robert Hunter performing (he wrote the lyrics to some of their other songs). It doesn't appear in Robert Hunter's lyric book "Box Of Rain", perhaps because it is co-written with Barry Melton. I assume that Barry Melton wrote the portions he sings (indicated below) and Robert Hunter the portions he sings:

[Melton]
I know we all are different
In some ways we're the same
I know we've all been pushed around
Like pieces in a game

Chorus
Who, who, who
Who makes the moves?
Who, who, who
Who makes the moves?

[Hunter]
Along come a dinosuar, his tale told twice
Singing of hard-hearted Anna from a stage of ice
A red-hot scarlet spotlight melts the stage into a flood
Flows across the footlights like a waterfall of blood

[chorus]

[Hunter]
Paper, scissors, diamond, knife, a game of roshambo
Chances are what chances are but chances are you know
A grassy knoll in Dallas testifies what none can prove
A nation sunk in apathy don't really seem to care exactly who

[chorus]

[Melton]
You might think I'm crazy
Something's going down
The way it's going it won't be long
Until we're all underground

Tell me
[chorus]
[chorus]

It was good to hear from you again, stilldead77. ...now I gotta leave for spaces unknown without a name,

Jerrob Hungar: Thank You, however, I think they finally figured-out that I work for the Feds. (a US gov't agency) (only took them 2-1/2 years to figure it out...... now I understand why the term "Deadhead" was used as their moniker...) How are you?

...am listening to "DP #29"... an absolute priceless piece of history... Jerry's extra riffs in the "Peggy-O" guitar break are from There.... Thanks again, Friend...

PS: Do you know, "Why?"

Hi Ashes.
(a) I'm at a loss regarding your employment. Are there some 'deadheads' who disapprove of your working for the government?
(b) I am well, thanks. Am I correct in thinking that your hibernation period is now over?
(c) I can't take the credit for sending you DP29. I wish I had cos then that would mean that I had it too!
(d) Thank you for linking us to the Dinosaurs show.
(e) I'll have to e-mail you with the answer to the final question. Can't afford to let all and sundry into the secret!

I concur Ashes. It is good to "see" you again. Can overlook you working for "The Feds" as long as you don't work for the RIAA;)

Back when I worked on a fishing boat people would ask me and my mates "What do you Fish for?" when they heard what we did for a living.

"Money" we'd say
